In today's fast-living world we sometimes need a space for ourselves – admiring, seeing, touching, tasting, smelling, sharing what is in front of us. It's the joy of daily routines that help us to rearrange and should never be taken for granted.

TAMIH CERAMICS mission is simple – creating minimalist and functional products that help you focus on your rituals like enjoying a delicious meal or the act of drinking coffee. 

Every piece that Tami designs and produces is characterized by straight lines and simple forms. In her work she focusses on neutral earthy colours of clay to highlight the raw material which is touched by the subtlety of the glaze. She usually leaves a large part of an object unglazed so that you can feel the difference between the surfaces. The contrast in the texture is emphasized.

All products are wheel-thrown and glazed by Tami in Darmstadt. Every ceramic piece that she creates is one of a kind and little imperfections give them a unique character.

HOW IT STARTED

„I discovered my passion for the clay world as I was in need for something absolutely different to my daily work at the desk as a Graphic Designer.

Working manually and creating things by hand has always been a pleasure of mine. Throwing my first chunky cup on the potter’s wheel in 2019 was love at first sight. I wanted to know and learn more, so I bought my own pottery wheel and started a small atelier with some friends. Ever since, I‘ve been using all my free time to create and improve my ceramics.“
